Warehousing

2026-06-10 By Jan van den Herik

Nexport Logistics runs 19,000 m² of fully racked warehousing at Pater van den Elsenlaan 4B, with the forwarding desk, customs declarants and warehouse under one roof. Bonded storage, an excise warehouse (AGP) for alcohol, consolidation and container stuffing, cross-docking, labelling and re-palletising to ISPM 15, plus heavy and oversized cargo. Short or long term, one place and one contact.

Warehousing is where the physical flow pauses, and where control either holds or leaks. Nexport Logistics runs its own warehouse and keeps the forwarding desk, the customs declarants and the warehouse in the same building. One place, one point of contact: the people who store your goods are the people who clear and ship them, so nothing falls between a warehouse system, a broker and a transport planner.

The warehouse

Our main site at Pater van den Elsenlaan 4B offers 19,000 m² of fully racked storage. It handles general goods short term and long term, with full stock visibility in the Nexportal WMS module. We don't store dangerous goods on our own site; for hazardous materials we work with partners who hold the right permit for that substance category (see Pgs 37 2 for lithium and energy carriers).

What we do beyond storing

  • Consolidation and container stuffing: we build and stuff consolidation containers and coordinate the whole move, including pickup at your suppliers in the Netherlands and across Europe. The carrier and routing side is on Container Shipping Lines.
  • Cross-docking: goods move from inbound to outbound without going into stock, for fast turnarounds.
  • Labelling and re-palletising: relabelling, repacking, and re-palletising — including onto ISPM 15-compliant pallets when the destination requires treated wood.
  • Heavy and oversized cargo: large and heavy pieces that don't fit a standard rack-and-pick flow.
  • Value-added services: kitting, quality checks and the handling steps a shipment needs before it goes out.

Bonded warehouse: defer the duty

Under a customs (bonded) warehouse regime, non-Union goods sit in storage without import duty and VAT until they are actually cleared. You pay and clear only when the goods leave for the EU market, or you re-export them with no EU duty at all. It keeps cash off the table for stock you haven't sold yet. The clearance runs with your Customs declaration when the time comes.

Excise warehouse (AGP): alcohol under suspension

We also hold an excise warehouse permit (AGP, accijnsgoederenplaats), so we can store alcoholic beverages under excise suspension — the excise duty is only due when the goods leave the warehouse, not while they sit. Because our customs declarants sit on site, they also draw up the e-AD, the electronic administrative document that moves excise goods under suspension. The full mechanism is on Excise Warehouse Agp.

Inbound, stock, outbound, in one portal

A typical flow in the WMS: receipt and check-in against the packing list with discrepancies flagged, real-time stock by location and batch, the value-added steps above, then picking, packing and dispatch linked to your sea, road or air transport. Cargo arrives, is cleared or stored bonded, sits as stock, and ships out — all on one source of truth.

How Nexport Logistics stores it

A freight forwarder under the FENEX conditions, with its own warehouse, bonded and excise permits, and the declarants and forwarders in the same building. We handle inbound, storage, value-added work, consolidation and outbound, keep the Customs in sync, and show every movement in the Nexportal portal.
